Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks an EEG Technician to support neurodiagnostic testing during night shifts. You will prepare patients, operate EEG equipment, and ensure accurate recordings for interpretation by physicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1+ year of neurodiagnostics experience or completion of a formal on-the-job training program or completion of at least 50% of courses and meets department expectations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and ensures equipment is in good working condition.
• Uses appropriate activation procedures and informs physician/supervisor of changes in patient condition.
• Prepares patients for testing using the 10-20 system and hookup.
• Ensures patient safety and accuracy of recordings for physician interpretation.
• Communicates professionally with patients and families, and documents procedures and charges.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and participates in meetings as required.
