Coryell Health in Gatesville, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the Emergency Department Night Shift. This Team Lead role supports bedside care and coordinates nursing staff during the 7 PM–7 AM shift.

You will serve as a clinical resource, promote patient safety, mentor ED nurses, and collaborate with physicians, EMS, and other departments to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certification required or obtainable within required timeframe.
• Previous Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous charge nurse, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to ED patients.
• Serve as the clinical leader and resource for the ED nursing team during the 7 PM-7 AM shift.
• Assist with assigning staff and coordinating patient care based on patient needs and staff competencies.
• Support efficient patient flow and timely delivery of emergency services.
• Assist nurses and other clinical staff with complex or high-acuity patients.
• Promote adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, ancillary departments, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assist with managing unexpected situations, changes in patient condition, and department priorities.
• Help ensure accurate documentation and effective communication between shifts.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ED staff.
• Assist with maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and departmental goals.
