Job summary

UPMC Chautauqua is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department in Jamestown, NY. This role follows an OVERNIGHT schedule, including every other weekend and rotating holidays, on a busy, 28-bed ED.

The ED serves all ages with specialized trauma, cardiac, and neuro care, emphasizing teamwork, safety, and patient-centered care. Eligible for a generous sign-on bonus and substantial PTO, with career ladders and tuition reimbursement options to support growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure in NY or nursing compact state
• Overnight shift with every-other weekend and rotating holidays is required

Responsibilities

• Applies the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan patient care and goals.
• Communicates patient needs to the care team and documents thoroughly.
• Identifies opportunities for quality improvement and participates in teams that launch improvements in patient care.
• Precepts students and new hires and supports ongoing professional development.
• Leads in clinical practice to promote high-quality patient care and a positive unit environment.
