Qualifications

High School diploma required.
Phlebotomy Certificate preferred or equivalent documentation.
General Office skills (Typing, Filing, Phone).

Knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
Knowledge of Standard precautions.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy and central receiving duties.
Prepare specimens for send-outs to Reference Laboratories and enter results into the laboratory computer system.
Properly greet and identify patients; maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Perform EKGs and blood collection using various techniques (finger stick, heel stick, butterfly).
Maintain clean, neat, and professional working environment and equipment.
Communicate procedures to patients and refer questions to appropriate personnel.
