Job summary

The ECMO Specialist at Children’s Health in Dallas provides expert care for patients requiring advanced therapies (ECMO, HFOV, INO) and collaborates with the ICU team to optimize cardiopulmonary support. This full-time night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) is on-site and includes direct patient care, circuit management, and rapid response to emergencies.

Qualifications include Texas RN or RCP licensure, BSN preferred, BLS and PALS within 6 months of hire; minimum 3 years in critical care with ECMO

Qualifications

• Requires Texas RN or RCP licensure.
• BSN preferred; Bac+ or diploma acceptable with relevant experience.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Priming ECMO circuits and initiating ECMO emergencies.
• Manage ECMO therapy during shifts and respond to evolving situations.
• Collaborate with ICU team to optimize patient care and family communication.
