Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is seeking an assembler for DT12 transmissions. You will assemble all components onto the transmission using work instructions and OE specifications, performing repetitive tasks and using torque wrenches, air tools, and hoists.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools.
• Stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance).
• Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
• Cross train on other jobs as required.
• Operate riveting, torquing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
• Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation.
• Collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assemble the transmission following work instructions and specifications.
• Diagnose and correct issues with build as they arise.
• Use computer systems to access data, drawings, BOMs and specification sheets.
• Inspect parts and identify nonconforming components.
• Maintain safety, attendance, productivity and housekeeping.
• Read Work Station Instructions and follow procedures.
