Qualifikationen

• Experience repairing boats and barges in marine environments.
• Prior lead or foreman experience in a shipyard or marine fabrication setting.
• Strong welding and fitting skills with ability to read blueprints and repair specs.
• Willing to work night shift.

Aufgaben

• Lead and assign work to night shift welder/fitters and dock crew
• Assess hull, deck, and structural damage on barges and towboats and plan repairs
• Read drawings and repair specs and lay out steel replacement work
• Check fit-up and weld quality and sign off on completed repairs
• Run the yard crane when needed to move steel and equipment
• Enforce hot-work, confined-space, and general yard safety procedures
• Coordinate shift handoff with day shift supervision
