Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vo-tech or specialized training in diesel or auto mechanics preferred.
• CDL with Hazmat Endorsement preferred; required in certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Document repairs and maintenance per DOT guidelines and schedules.
• Coordinate maintenance with Shop Supervisor to minimize downtime.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Work overtime and road calls as needed; maintain a clean, safe shop.
