Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Topeka, KS is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair medium to heavy‑duty fleet vehicles. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance to keep our national fleet on the road.

The schedule is Sunday–Thursday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM with weekly pay. Benefits begin within 30 days, and eligible technicians receive ASE certification reimbursement and opportunities for career advancement nationwide.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Must own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Must pass pre-employment screenings including DOT if required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to support fleet operations.
