Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair light to medium duty fleet vehicles. You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and document repairs.

This role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits within 30 days, 401(k) match, PTO, boot allowance and safety gear reimbursement, plus training through Amerit University and ASE reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on diesel/automotive maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own and maintain personal tools for the role.
• Able to work independently and in a team, with safety in mind.
• Able to meet physical demands and pass screenings including drug/DOT if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and tools
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
