Amerit Fleet Solutions in Topeka, KS is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair medium to heavy‑duty fleet vehicles. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform preventive maintenance to keep our national fleet on the road.

The schedule is Sunday–Thursday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM with weekly pay. Benefits begin within 30 days, and eligible technicians receive ASE certification reimbursement and opportunities for career advancement nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including DOT if required.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
