Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible with 6 months to obtain limited permit
• ARRT certification to be obtained within 1 year of appointment
• CPR-BLS certification required at time of appointment
• Entry level SL1 possibility for candidates with A.A.S. and NYS license/eligible but no experience

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists
• Practice radiation safety and protection to minimize patient exposure
• Work across inpatient, outpatient, fluoroscopy, operating room and emergency department settings
• Work with adult and pediatric patients (Golisano Children’s Hospital)
• Verify physician orders and correctly identify patients
• Perform required quality control procedures
• Maintain continuing education compliance
