Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist for the Radiology Ultrasound department. This full-time night-shift position performs sonography in accordance with scope and standards of practice, contributing to patient care and the organization's mission.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, ARDMS/ARRT certification, and BLS. Onsite work with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive UCHealth benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS or certified in Sonography (S) by ARRT.
• BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; BLS/CPR valid through 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment.
• Monitors patient condition; prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards; performs QC; troubleshoots equipment; positions patient and performs imaging.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results; may work with Radiology students.
• Works with critical thinking and minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
