Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a team member to perform dark meat production on a rotation basis, taking on roles such as grader, line loader (hangers), scale operator, box maker, batcher, and labeler in the dark meat department.

You will be part of a team, supporting development and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies, and working to coordinate work for best practices across all team members. PPE and safety rules apply in a loud, cold production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate scale operator and labeler with provided training material (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Performs the above positions on the dark meat department.
• Participates as a member of the Team and supports the development and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies.
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members and attends appropriate team meetings.
• Fosters cohesiveness within the team and communicates concerns to the team leader to resolve issues.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems principles (e.g., quality, security, LEAN) and supports these systems in this role.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
