Job summary

Schreiber Foods in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Plant Production operator for a fulltime night shift on a rotating schedule (6:45 pm – 7:00 am). The role emphasizes GMP/SOP adherence, sanitation, and cross-functional collaboration in a dairy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of dairy products/industry preferred.
• Lockout-Tagout certification required; Better Process Control School certification post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow production/changeover schedules to avoid downtime.
• Plan and schedule transfers and CIP with operators, blending, separators.
• Maintain, clean and sterilize equipment; follow MSS and 5S.
• Monitor sterile and non-sterile zones for leaks.
• Complete documentation using GDPs: batch records, cleaning forms, logs.
• Monitor line graphs and detect deviations in trends.
• Meet production needs and minimize shrink and downtime.
• Troubleshoot processing equipment; contact maintenance as needed.
• Learn ultra-high temperature processing systems.
• Participate in shift exchanges and team meetings.
• Identify CCPs and monitor temperature/pressure/time.
