Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Registered Nurse for the CVICU unit (Cardiovascular ICU) on a full-time night shift (5p-5a). The role covers post-cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery patients in a 22-bed ICU with 20 step-down beds, float between both.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and the nursing process.
• Administers medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions as appropriate.
• Documents patient care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Engages in professional development to maintain clinical competency and understanding of current nursing standards and regulations.
