Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for a 13-week contract. Night shifts are 4x12-hour blocks from 18:45 to 07:15 in a Level 2 Trauma facility with a comprehensive stroke center.

The CVICU handles advanced cardiac and open-heart surgical programs, requiring strong critical-care skills. The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, and ICU experience; Epic charting experience is

Qualifications

• Active RN license with state or compact licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred two years of ICU experience.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage complex medical devices.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as per medical protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care options.
