Job summary

Town of Arlington is seeking a Supervisor of Custodians - Night to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of town and school buildings. The role operates from 3 pm to 12 am, with a flexible schedule for events and emergencies.

The supervisor will lead approximately 32 full-time employees, cleaning contractors, and seasonal staff. Strong supervisory and computer skills, including Excel, are essential for daily reporting and coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred with five years custodial and supervisory experience.
• Five years of custodial experience, including minor repairs, and supervisory training.

Responsibilities

• Carries out the plan for cleaning of buildings; assigns tasks and reviews work daily.
• Supervises evening shift personnel; ensures staff are on the job and reviews overtime.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and records; communicates issues to the supervisor.
• Addresses cleaning and grounds maintenance problems; maintains relations with school officials.
• Trains new personnel and documents progress via daily communications.
