Qualifications

• Technical or Associate’s radiography degree.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT.
• Maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
• Obtain high-quality imaging and correct patient positioning.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions; start IV for contrast.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Handle scheduling procedures and operate the PACS computer system.
