Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time CT Technologist to operate the CT scanner, acquire high-quality images, and manage patient flow. The role includes coordinating patient prep, administering contrast and starting IV access as needed, and transporting patients within the department.

The ideal candidate will have a Technical or Associate's radiography degree, ARRT registration or eligibility, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate's radiography degree.
• Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT; maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CT scanner safely and proficiently.
• Obtain a high standard of imaging and positioning.
• Coordinate patient prepping and scanning to maximize smooth patient flow.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and recognize reactions; start IV for contrast fluids.
• Transport patients to and from the department.
• Handle telephone scheduling and operate the PACS computer system.
