Job summary

The Registered Nurse role at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC, is a Full‑time position in the Critical Care unit. You will provide high‑quality, patient‑centered care on a 16‑bed unit, coordinating care using the nursing process and evidence‑based practice.

Shift is 7pm–7am, 36 hours per week, with 2 weekends out of 6 and holiday rotation. Eligible for comprehensive benefits, PTO, and retirement plans; BLS required and RN license current in state of

Where You Will Work

The Critical Care Unit at Lexington Medical Center is a 16-bed unit that provides both Intensive and Intermediate Care. A dedicated charge nurse supports the unit without a patient assignment. The unit is equipped to monitor and trend heart rhythms and other hemodynamic pressures.Care of patients on ventilators, noninvasive ventilation with BiPAP or CPAP, and heated high flow oxygen delivery. Titrating medication IV drips to ordered parameters and the ability to follow protocols and order sets. Patient populations include sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, DKA, HHS, electrolyte abnormalities that require close monitoring, COPD, CHF, pulmonary edema, cardiac dysrhythmias, stroke, post-surgical unstable patients, hypertensive emergency that requires IV drips, overdose, ETOH detox, etc.

We’re Looking For

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Greater than 1 year of RN experience
