Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is hiring a Transport Paramedic for night-shift, full-time on-site duties. You will support neonatal, pediatric and adult patients during transport, performing airway management and collaborating with RNs. CAMTS standards compliance and staff education are required.

You will ensure vehicle readiness, maintain records, and participate in ongoing certification and safety checks. Ohio EMT-P license and EVOC/BLS/ACLS/PALS are required or pursued within plan.

Qualifications

• Ohio EMT-P license required at hire.
• 3 years active critical care transport experience or 4000 hours.
• Valid Ohio driver license without restrictions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• EVOC required.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RN to provide direct care to critically ill neonates, pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform airway management including intubation as needed.
• Maintain accurate pre-transport and transport records; follow-up data.
• Ensure safe operation of transport vehicle and environment for patient care.
• Check stocks/meds aboard vehicle and restock after transports; verify equipment function.
