Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a Cook to prep, cook, and package food products in a fast-paced restaurant setting. The role reports to the Manager on Duty (MOD) and is nonexempt.

Responsibilities include operating grill and prep stations, following all policies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation. Must be able to stand for long periods and handle irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• General restaurant or retail knowledge.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow directions.
• Multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare, and package food product according to standards.
• Operate kitchen stations such as grill and prep areas as assigned.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties including trash disposal, mopping, washing dishes, wiping counters, sanitizing areas.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Report customer or employee complaints to MOD.
• Move and stock food product weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
