Job summary

Valeo is a global high-tech company designing revolutionary mobility solutions. As a Controls Specialist, you will program and troubleshoot automated robotic and vision systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs, oversee ramp-up of manufacturing lines, and ensure safety with lockout/tagout procedures.

This night shift role spans multiple automation domains across Valeo sites. You will work with PLCs, vision systems (Keyence/Cognex), VFDs, and multi-PLC architectures to optimize processes, reduce cycle

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field (experience may substitute).
4+ years PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka robotics.
Experience programming PLCs in a high-speed industrial environment.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Vision Systems (Keyence or Cognex) preferred.

Responsibilities

Modify and optimize existing PLC programs using IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder Diagram) for complex processes.
High-speed motion control and integration of vision systems and robotics.
Ensure safety procedures like lock out/tag out are followed in industrial environments.
Design and implement control architectures with multiple PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
Support cycle-time reduction, bottleneck resolution, and investment optimization.
