Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an experienced Night Safety Inspector to oversee nighttime construction safety across projects in Washington, DC. You will ensure contractor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, client requirements, and site safety plans while leading safety walkthroughs and audits.

You will identify hazards, investigate incidents, stop unsafe work, and promote a proactive safety culture through mentoring and program participation. Extensive field experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of progressively responsible construction safety experience.
• Experience conducting safety audits, investigations, and compliance inspections.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to access project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of construction activities to verify OSHA and project safety plan compliance.
• Monitor AHAs/JHAs/Safe Work Plans adherence and implement corrective actions.
• Stop work in imminent danger situations and document findings.
• Prepare daily safety reports and track corrective actions and safety metrics.
