Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Night Safety Inspector to support nighttime construction operations. You will oversee safety compliance, conduct inspections, and drive hazard mitigation on site, coordinating with project teams to uphold safety plans and client requirements.

The role requires extensive construction safety experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and a proactive, independent work approach in a busy night-time environment. A valid license and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 10 years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926).
• Experience on large construction, infrastructure, utility, transportation, industrial, or facility projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic safety management systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of construction activities to verify OSHA compliance and safety plans.
• Monitor adherence to AHAs/JHAs and Safe Work Plans.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Stop work when imminent danger is identified.
• Prepare daily safety reports and track corrective actions.
• Lead safety stand-downs and awareness campaigns.
• Develop field reports for project leadership and client reps.
• Promote proactive safety culture across the project team.
