Job summary

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to support the Dam project in Washington. This field-focused safety role ensures compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety procedures while working in the field with construction teams.

Initially supporting the current schedule, the position will transition to night shift over time. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction safety experience, can work independently, identify hazards, and

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety standards and requirements.
• 40-hour EM 385-1-1 certification or ability to obtain.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily jobsite safety inspections and document hazards.
• Support implementation of project safety programs per EM 385-1-1 and OSHA.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and hazard mitigation strategies.
• Create and maintain Daily Risk Assessments (DRAs) and safety docs.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field briefings.
• Monitor activities and enforce safe work practices with crews.
