Job summary

Openwork is seeking a precision-driven CNC Turn Machine Operator in Marietta, GA for a night shift. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC turning centers to manufacture high-performance components for automotive and diesel engine assemblies.

Requirements include 2+ years of CNC turning experience, strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills, and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Expect a 12-hour night shift with competitive benefits and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on CNC turning setup/operation.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Automotive, powersports, or diesel engine manufacturing background preferred.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour overnight schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC lathe/turning machines to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers to meet specs.
• Load raw materials, secure workpieces, and set tooling offsets.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Perform basic machine offsets, tool changes, and PM tasks.
• Monitor production runs and adjust for wear or malfunctions.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized stations per 5S standards.
