Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator II for 3rd shift (10:45pm - 7:15am) to run and program multiple machines per blueprints. You will set up, operate, load/off-load parts, and verify dimensions with proper inspection. The role includes tooling maintenance and training newer operators when needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, with a 2-year technical degree preferred. Safety and quality standards are emphasized throughout the position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• A 2 year technical degree is preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming and setup is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate multiple machines using blueprints or specifications.
• Complete complex computer controlled setup using the HMI to adjust programs or machines.
• Load and off-load product from multiple machines.
• Gage product to ensure proper dimensions.
• Inspect product to verify visual characteristics and defects.
• Check samples using inspection tools and record results per standards.
• Maintain tooling used in machines.
• Train new operators when required.
• Troubleshoot quality and machine issues from moderate to complex.
