Job summary

Reinicke Athens Inc. in Athens, GA is seeking an experienced CNC Plate Processor Operator to run the Peddinghaus HSFDB-2500 on the night shift. This is a full-time role that involves setting up the machine, reading shop drawings, and producing precise steel components.

You will work Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, with some Saturdays as needed, and you will handle crane and forklift operations, tool changes, quality inspection, and safe production practices.

Qualifications

Experience with CNC plate processing, drilling, or plasma cutting (min 2 years).
Experience with Peddinghaus equipment strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details.
Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls; nesting software is a plus.
Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts safely.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate the Peddinghaus HSFDB-2500 per CNC programs and shop drawings.
Safely load and unload plate using overhead cranes, magnets, and forklifts.
Select, install, and change drill, tap, and milling tools in the machine's ATC.
Monitor plasma and oxy-fuel cutting quality and adjust settings as needed.
Inspect finished parts with tape measures, calipers, and squares.
Address production or quality issues before parts advance.
Perform routine machine maintenance and clean/ lubricate.
Troubleshoot basic alarms and escalate complex problems.
Maintain production records and material traceability (heat numbers).
Communicate status during shift handoffs and keep area clean.
