Steel and Metal Service Center is currently seeking a CNC Operator for our state-of-the-art Peddinghause Plate Processor in New Castle, DE. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology in a growing metal-processing environment, contributing to quality and precision.

You will set up and operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, monitor performance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical CNC certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery, specifically Peddinghause equipment.
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machining principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Peddinghause Plate Processor to meet production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings for optimal output and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Document production processes and report any discrepancies to management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
