Job summary

GE Aerospace's Dayton site is seeking a Machinist for the 3rd shift (TDI) to operate multiple machines, read blueprints, and ensure quality through in-process inspections. You will work with gages, tooling, and routers while maintaining 5S housekeeping and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have CNC Lathe/Mill experience or technical machining schooling, strong math skills, and the ability to interpret specifications and work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of CNC Lathe and CNC Mill experience, or equivalent CNC machining education.
• Technical machining schooling with CNC Lathe/Mill experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate more than one machine at a time.
• Understand coolant percentage mixtures.
• Read and interpret routers, procedures, specifications and inspection sheets.
• Utilize gages and inspection tools to ensure part quality.
• Set up and calibrate inspection devices (e.g., bore gages, height gages).
• Review blueprints and perform in-process inspections.
