Job summary

Mural-Group seeks a hands-on CNC Machinist for the Ashland, KY service center to operate large-scale CNC turning equipment and refurbish heavy steel mill components to print specifications.

You will set up tooling, load programs from the programming team, adjust offsets, and monitor quality, ensuring parts meet drawings and tolerances. Night shifts with overtime and some weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• CNC operation experience with turning or milling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T tolerances.
• Set up tooling, perform offset adjustments, and monitor a job with minimal programmer support.
• Experience with large-format CNC equipment or heavy industrial machining is a plus.
• VTL experience is highly preferred. Include VTL work if applicable.
• Night shift availability with overtime and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate large-format CNC machines to machine and refurbish heavy steel mill components to prints.
• Set up tooling, load and run programs from the programming team, adjust offsets, monitor cut quality.
• Inspect finished parts against engineering drawings and tolerances.
