Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit and orient to the unit and equipment.
• Respond to patient needs directly or by reporting to the appropriate person.
• Assist with implementation of nursing plan of care by carrying out delegated tasks.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve patient care items.
• Keep patient area clean and well-stocked.
• Participate in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Participate in educational and Performance Improvement activities.
• Maintain required unit skills and perform waived testing as needed.
• Demonstrate responsibility for patient satisfaction and throughput.
