Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Night Shift Certified Nursing Assistant to support pediatric patients and families under RN supervision. You will collect vital signs, assist with procedures, and help ensure safety and comfort during night hours.

This role requires completion of a fundamentals nursing course, current Ohio CNA certification, and CPR (BLS). You will work on an on-site unit, handle light clerical tasks, and may serve as a preceptor for newer staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program, or equivalent certification or experience.
• Active CNA in the State of Ohio, or equivalent education or experience.
• Current CPR certification (BLS for healthcare provider).
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital within the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Collects, documents, and reports vital signs.
• Promotes patient safety and assists with procedures.
• Prepares materials and supplies; maintains HIPAA confidentiality.
• Performs clerical tasks and participates in ongoing education.
• May act as a preceptor and train other staff.
