Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking individuals for unlicensed assistive personnel training in the 800 Neuro-Ortho unit. You will provide basic patient care under nursing staff supervision, assisting with vitals, hygiene, mobility and linens within a fast-paced 26-bed unit that treats stroke, trauma and neurosurgical cases.

Healthcare support roles emphasize teamwork, reliability and compassionate care. Nursing staff will guide competency assessments; BLS or CNA credentials may be required within 90 days

Qualifications

• Education Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience Preferred: Prior patient care or health care related experience
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; time management; analytical/problem solving

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition and report changes to nursing staff.
