Job summary

WellSpan Waynesboro Med Surg is seeking a part-time nursing assistant/NAP to provide direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit in Waynesboro, PA. The role involves night shifts with a 24-hour work-week average, including every third weekend and holiday.

Scope includes vital signs, ADL assistance, EKGs, and Point-of-Care testing. The ideal candidate has less than 1 year of relevant experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and BLS and CNA credentials available at hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year relevant experience required.
• BLS and CNA required upon hire.
• Ability to perform activities of daily living and monitor vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients.
• Monitors patient condition levels and reports changes to the RN.
• Performs hourly rounds to identify patient needs and ensure safety.
• Obtains and documents vital signs (temp, BP, pulse ox, weight).
• Performs Point-of-Care testing and quality control procedures.
• Transports patients to tests and procedures.
• Maintains stock levels of supplies and equipment on the unit.
