Candidates may be CNA preferred or enrolled in a nursing program, with various pathways including foreign-trained RNs or Medical Assistants. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA preferred, and completion of a Nurse Assistant program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA preferred for the role.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program is expected.
• Current enrollment in a nursing program may be considered.
• Foreign trained RN without Michigan license may qualify.
• Medical Assistant training is acceptable.
• At least one year in a NA/PCT/PAT role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients under RN supervision, addressing safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input for planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergencies per procedures and notify RN promptly.
• Document care provided and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform general clerical duties and supply deliveries as needed.
• Support patient mobility, bathing, dressing, feeding, and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
