Job summary

Novant Health’s Scott's Hill Medical Center seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg unit. The role features a night shift (7pm–7am), full-time schedule, and a focus on compassionate patient care. You will work alongside a team to support daily living activities, vital signs, and basic clinical tasks.

Candidates should have a High school diploma and complete the NC NAI program. Experience in long-term care is preferred. Opportunities for growth and a supportive culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, required.
• Completion of NAI program, required.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred; one year required in Assisted Living facilities only.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required.
• Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
• Medication Safety - AME, required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.
• Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care (bathing, mouth care, skin care, etc.) for patients.
• Assists with turning, transfers, ambulation and ROM exercises.
• Assists with meals and records intake and output.
• Assists with elimination needs and specimen collection.
• Follows safety measures and infection control practices.
• Obtains and records vital signs and performs basic procedures.
• Assists in admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Notifies nurse of changes in patient condition or data.
