Job summary

Novant Health’s Scott’s Hill Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg team on the night shift (7pm–7am). This full-time role supports daily living activities, vital signs, and patient safety under RN supervision.

You will participate in admissions, transfers, and coordination of patient care with a compassionate team. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, CNA/Nurse Aide certification, and relevant experience; training on safety and respiratory care

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year experience preferred; one year in assisted living is required for certain facilities.
• Completion of NAI program is required; NA I listed in nurse aide registry.
• Medication safety training (AME) is required.
• Clinician competencies for restrictive interventions per NC Board of Nursing timeline.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Assists with transfers, positioning, and mobility under supervision.
• Monitors nutrition and I&O; supports nursing with hydration and meals.
• Records vital signs and reports changes to nurse; adheres to safety and infection-control procedures.
• Responsible for supplies and patient comfort; participates in admission/discharge/transfer processes.
