Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg unit at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. This full-time night position offers three 12-hour shifts (7pm–7am) over a 36-hour week with alternating weekends and holidays.

You will assist nurses with patient care, monitor vital signs, maintain EMR documentation, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges while adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and activities.
• Documents vital signs and patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates patient needs to RN.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision.
