Job summary

Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the Telemetry unit. This night-shift CNA position requires two 12‑hour shifts per week and coverage every other weekend and holiday.

You will support RNs with daily patient care, monitor vitals, assist with transfers, and help ensure patient comfort while maintaining infection control and documentation in the EMR. The role includes Advocate Health’s Total Rewards, with benefits and retirement offerings.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification required within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry.
• GED/HSED or High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vitals and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Ensures patient call lights are answered promptly.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
