Job summary

Regency Hospital Northwest Indiana in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification or related field.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient bathing using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and care of hair.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
