Job summary

University of Utah Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Nursing Support/Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a 24/7 health system. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and support clinical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Candidates must obtain RN licensure within three months if enrolled in a nursing program, or secure CNA certification.

Qualifications

• Clinical patient care tasks under RN supervision.
• Ability to document data and communicate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with feeding, mobility, hygiene and comfort.
• Support educational activities for patients and families as delegated by care providers.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and assist with unit duties as needed.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and medical records as required.
• Observe patients and report any abnormal findings to nursing staff.
