Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX is seeking a CNA to join the night shift. You will assist with patient care tasks under RN supervision and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires a CNA license in Texas and BLS certification, with a preference for acute care experience. Full-time night schedule from 7PM to 7AM and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA License in state of employment required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Assists with the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Completes pertinent documents.
• Prepares rooms for admission by setting up IV pots, and adjusting bed to the appropriate level.
• Safely transports stable patients as required.
• Maintains security/confidentiality when transporting patients and interacting with family and visitors.
• Cleans, procures and returns equipment and supplies.
• Responds to emergencies and patient call lights.
• Communicates effectively with other team members during and between shifts.
• Adapt care methods to patient needs across developmental stages.
