Job summary

Weston County Health Services is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant for a full-time night-shift role in Newcastle, WY. The CNA will provide essential, hands-on care in long-term care, supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, vital signs, nutrition support, and reporting to nursing staff. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology and processes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and cross-train as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to patient call lights and assess needs for appropriate support.
• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and comfort care.
• Turn, reposition, and assist bedridden patients per care plans and safety guidelines.
• Support nutritional needs by following dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Gather and communicate information regarding patient condition and treatment plans.
• Measure, monitor, and document food and fluid intake and vital signs as directed.
• Observe patient conditions and report changes to nursing staff.
• Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors professionally and provide directions.
