Job summary

Glacier Hills Senior Living Community in South Bend, IN is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Nursing Assistant for the night shift to provide routine daily nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

You will assist residents with activities of daily living, document care in Care Tracker, and support admission, transfer, and discharge processes. This role emphasizes safety, privacy, and compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; active Nursing Assistant certification in this state or completion of state approved nurse aide training.
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience; long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.
• Superior customer service and professionalism; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment; strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with accountability, responsibility and sound decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with routine daily nursing care per the resident's assessment and care plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dental care, feeding, bathing, dressing) per preference.
• Assist with lifting, turning, positioning and transporting residents.
• Perform Range of Motion exercises and restorative procedures as instructed.
• Record data and enter information in Care Tracker; respond promptly to resident calls.
• Maintain privacy and safety; follow End of Life procedures and safety guidelines.
