Job summary

Liberty Rehabilitation Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our inpatient rehab team. You will perform basic patient care tasks, assist with mobility, take vitals, and help prepare rooms for admission and discharge.

The role requires completion of a CNA training course, current state certification, CPR/BCLS, and at least six months of acute or long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
