Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Med/Surg department.

You will assist patients with daily living activities, deliver basic nursing care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, and help maintain a safe care environment on the unit. The role requires an active CNA certificate, BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and preferably at least six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for non-critical patients.
• Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN.
• Help maintain a safe and clean environment on the Med/Surg unit.
