Job summary

NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health) is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to assist the professional caregiver in delivering patient care. The role includes transporting patients/equipment, setting up rooms, and performing a wide range of clerical tasks in the Nursing 3 West Acute unit.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, reporting changes in patient condition, maintaining records, and providing direct personal care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Nursing Assistant I licensure by NC DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Transport patients and/or equipment and set up patient rooms.
• Perform clerical duties including transcription, data entry and medical records maintenance.
• Provide clinical support including cleaning work areas, stocking supplies, transporting specimens, and orienting new staff and students.
• Provide direct personal care to patients per plan of care, monitor vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Reinforce patient education and document understanding of instructions.
